This half-day introduction will help the user gain the knowledge, skills and confidence to use Macintosh OS X; the powerful UNIX based operating system from Apple Computer.On this course, you will learn the advantages of using Mac OS X 10.2 to manage your digital information, install and configure the operating system to run both Classic and Carbon applications, access the internet and share files with others on your network.

Macintosh OS X - Support

Duration - 1 Day

Description:
The aim of this one day course is to reveal easy solutions to those problems you’re experiencing with the new operating system and ensure you get the most from your Macintosh.This support course delves deeper into the operating system to look at some of the more common problems you might encounter and help you develop strategies to both avoid and cure them. You will learn how to reinstall and update the system, you will also look at some of the UNIX structure of OS X and how to approach issues from the command line, configure multi user environments, share files and combat internet and dial-up issues, amongst a host of other topics.This course is primarily for system administrators or internal IT staffs that need to manage a Mac OS X network but maybe new to multi user permission based environments.

Prerequisites :
• Practical end user experience with at least one desktop operating system
• End user experience with Mac OS X (preferably OS X user course)
• Familiarity with essential networking concepts, TCP/IP, email, Internet applications
