This one day bespoke-style course for Intermediate to Advanced web users offers a chance to further develop Photoshop skills. It allows users to solve specific problems, learn essential shortcuts and tips and achieve better working practice by linking and combining Photoshop commands. The outline of course content is a recommended guide to topics of interest, and in addition individual specific requests are welcomed. Delegates are actively encouraged to bring along examples of their work.

Overview - integrating Photoshop, ImageReady and other web development and graphics software.
Targeting the screen about resolution, screen sizes and colour capabilities.
HTML, DHTML and Flash design considerations.
About GIF, JPEG and PNG - compression, transparency and other features.
Creating transparency dealing with backgrounds, matting and anti-aliasing.
Using Alpha channels for weighted optimisation.
Working with colour palettes/tables - Colour reduction, dithering, adaptive vs. safe colours etc.
Using the PNG format - 8-bit transparency with Alpha channels.
Using masks and other layer features in image production.
Creating tiling images.
Creating a 'filmstrip' effect.
Batch processing images.

Importing and using video.
Creating animated GIFs.
Slicing images - creating multiple images from a layout.
